Midsona is listed on the prestigious 2021 CDP Supplier Engagement Leaderboard. In December 2021, Midsona was recognized for its climate change strategy and leadership by the global environmental non-profit initiative CDP receiving rating A-.

The companies with the best Supplier Engagement Rating (SER) are celebrated as Supplier Engagement Leaders (SEL) for its commitment along the supply chain – which this year is the top 8 percent of companies who disclosed to the full climate questionnaire. CDP’s annual SER is designed to evaluate and spur action on corporate supply chain engagement on climate issues, based on the CDP climate change questionnaire. It covers governance, targets, value chain (scope 3) emissions and supplier engagement strategies, and factors in the company’s climate score.

In 2021, a record-breaking 13,000+ companies representing over 64 percent of global market capitalization responded to CDP’s climate change questionnaire. By achieving A-, Midsona was among the 714 (5,4 percent) best reporting companies globally when it comes to climate change strategy and leadership. The CDP’s annual scoring process is widely considered the gold standard of corporate environmental transparency as it measures actions and performance on mitigating climate-related risks and reducing greenhouse gas emission.

“We are very proud of CDP’s recognition of our performance as it shows that we are at a globally high level on our path towards climate change. The work is now continuing to accelerate the reduction of our climate impact,” said Peter Åsberg, CEO of Midsona.

The CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) is an international non-profit organization that helps companies disclose their environmental impact. CDP scoring drives corporate transparency and helps to guide, incentivize, and assess environmental action.
