More major orders for Mind: Mind develops European portal for mobile The Internet company Mind has signed an agreement to develop a European portal for mobile communications. The portal, which will contain information, products and services, will be launched in Europe during spring 2000. This transaction is one of Mind's largest so far and the first phase is valued at almost SEK 25 million. The portal gathers together various types of mobile services at one place and its content consists of anything in the field of mobile communications, from e-commerce using mobile phones and hand-held computers to a wide range of services, new products and information. The portal will be launched gradually in Europe during spring, starting with Germany and Sweden. The company behind this initiative is Dåttkom AB, which will change its name before the launch takes place. "We want to offer our customers something a bit different, with high quality service and choices. We have chosen to work with Mind because we know that the company has the same high ambitions for its projects and produces quality products," says Christian Listérus, initiator of the new project. Mind has developed the technical solutions for the portal and has also participated in planning and business development. This transaction is Mind's largest so far and the first phase is estimated to almost SEK 25 million.
