Mind to develop platform for Göteborgs-Posten's Internet portal The Mind Internet company has signed a cooperation agreement with Göteborgs-Posten. The agreement consists of a letter of intent whereby Mind is to develop Göteborgs-Posten's new platform for services on the newspaper's Internet portal, gp.se. The plan is for Mind to develop the portal and the technical platform needed to be able to offer more services. Göteborgs-Posten is planning a new news service and a city guide under its own name, among other features. "The objective of our network program is that gp.se should become Western Sweden's Internet portal - quite simply the first choice on the Internet for Gothenburgers," says Tomas Brunegård, Göteborgs-Posten's president. "The cooperation between Mind and Göteborgs-Posten is strategically important for us. The Internet is a part of Göteborgs-Posten's core business, and the growth potentials are very large." "The cooperation with Göteborgs-Posten confirms that we have been successful in our program in the media sector, notably with respect to the integration of traditional publishing and the Internet," says Jörgen Larsson, Mind's CEO. "Mind was founded in Gothenburg and developed the GBG & Co tourist portal for the City of Gothenburg. It is therefore especially exciting for us to be able to work with Göteborgs-Posten on its development of the Internet." Mind AB is a third-generation Internet consulting company that specializes in portals that are designed to develop and strengthen the businesses of its clients. Mind has approximately 450 employees and is represented in Sweden, Norway and France. The company is planning to list its shares publicly in 2000. ------------------------------------------------------------ Please visit http://www.bit.se for further information The following files are available for download: http://www.bit.se/bitonline/2000/05/08/20000627BIT00480/bit0001.doc http://www.bit.se/bitonline/2000/05/08/20000627BIT00480/bit0002.pdf
