New innovation extends Minesto’s generic IP protection and further expands its market opportunities
Minesto has filed a patent application with the aim of further extending the generic patent protection of the unique Deep Green energy technology. “The innovation creates significant commercial value to Minesto as it expands the number of potential development sites and at the same time reduces operating costs and hence the levelised cost of energy of the system”, said Dr Martin Edlund, CEO of Minesto.
Minesto delivers keynote at Maritime Day 2019
This week Maritime Day 2019 was held on the West coast of Sweden. The event was arranged by the Maritime Cluster of West Sweden with this year’s theme being “Sustainable Blue Growth”.
Minesto’s CEO Martin Edlund delivered one of the keynotes alongside Mattias Goldmann, CEO of the think tank Fores and Linnea Engström, member of the European Parliament. The keynotes and following panel debate focused on solutions the ocean presents for developing a sustainable blue economy and global development.
Minesto’s main owners exercise all of their subscription warrants
Minesto's largest shareholders BGA Invest and Midroc New Technology has underlined their long-term commitment in Minesto by exercising all of their warrants held in Minesto AB. The subscription period for Minesto's TO 2 warrants runs until 8thof February 2019.

UK Secretary of State voices support for marine energy
During a sitting in the House of Common’s last week, Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Greg Clark spoke of the opportunity for marine energy in North Wales and expressed support from the UK Government for the development of the marine energy sector.
