Minesto’s “revolutionary sea kite design” features on BBC’s Our Coast
Last weekend’s episode of Our Coast, a TV show broadcasted on BBC Two, exploring the spectacular coastlines linked by the Irish Sea, featured a section on tidal energy in general – and Minesto’s Deep Green technology and the company’s UK operations in particular.
Minesto showcases its kite technology at the Engineering the Energy Transition Conference
Minesto, represented by Business Development Manager Osian Roberts, had the opportunity to showcase the company and its subsea kite technology at the Engineering the Energy Transition Conference held in Belfast last week.
Arranged by the renewable energy research centre The Bryden Centre, the conference highlights novel technologies, innovative business models and changing societal drivers constituting major components to achieve transition to clean energy systems.
Net Zero panel at the MEW Conference: What role will marine energy play?
In addition of being a proud sponsor of the annual Marine Energy Wales Conference, held in Llandudno, North Wales on 29–30 April this year, Minesto has also been confirmed speakers for the panel “Net Zero – What role will marine energy play?”
Together with key industry representatives, Minesto’s CEO Dr Martin Edlund will engage in the discussion of what role marine energy can play in the future renewable energy mix.

Wanted: Project Manager to Gothenburg and Civil Subsea Engineer to Holyhead
Minesto is growing the team and looks for a Project Manager for the Gothenburg office, and a Civil Subsea Engineer for Minesto’s UK head offices in Holyhead, Anglesey.

Ynys Môn MP visits Minesto’s Holyhead operations
Virginia Crosbie, Member of Parliament for Ynys Môn (Anglesey), visited Minesto’s Holyhead office in February and was given a tour of Minesto’s visitor centre and Assembly Hall facility, as well as an update on the advancements of Minesto’s Deep Green technology and the company’s ongoing projects.
European Commission launches €75m BlueInvest Fund to “unlock the potential of the blue economy”
BlueInvest Fund was officially launched in early February by the European Commission. The €75 million BlueInvest Fund will be managed by the European Investment Fund and will provide financing to underlying equity that strategically target and support innovative European small and medium-sized Blue Economy companies.
