Mountains and More Make Up Workouts on  ‘A Lifetime of Health and Wellness Makeover™’ Series

(Pompano Beach, FL –April 1, 2012)  As Boot Camp kicks off, reality kicks in when our four makeover ladies face a state-of-health reality check after the Day 1 weigh-ins, measurement-taking and mental and physical poking and prodding. Realizing the obstacles they must overcome to reach their goals, the women get serious and jump into their first workout with trainers as the journey continues on April 9th on the ‘A Lifetime of Health and Wellness Makeover™’ series on “The Balancing Act” on Lifetime television.

The luxurious, relaxing experience usually enjoyed at La Costa Resort and Spa, the location of the Premier Fitness Camp, is anything but for the women – as Day 2 of the week-long boot camp kicks into high gear with the women drinking a morning power shake to fuel them for hours of swimming calisthenics, sit-ups and a grueling workout on fitness machines.

Sore, hungry, exhausted, and barely able to move, Day 2’s Boot Camp takes its toll on each of the women who respond in different ways to the end of a tough day – including a5 a.m.soaking in the tub.

Day 6 of the Boot Camp regimen brings the biggest, and tallest challenge yet! The women are faced with climbing a steep mountain with all the twists and turns that entails. During the rough climb up, viewers will lean about what motivates each of the women to continue their journey to the top – as well as their overall journey toward health and wellness.

The last day of Boot Camp brings the ultimate test - after 5-6 hours a day of working out with camp experts, working on eating the right foods and working on their minds and bodies, the woman step on the scale….and find out if their hard work paid off.

“Completing the one-week Boot Camp is a huge accomplishment for our makeover ladies!  Many of them hadn’t exercised or eaten healthy in years. Now, as the women head back home to their families and friends, it is up to them to use the tools they’ve learned at Premier Fitness Camp, and apply them to their day to day lives – and we hope our viewers will do the same”, says Danielle Silverman, Senior V.P., ‘The Balancing Act.’

Stay tuned next week as the ladies meet their fitness matches.
