Nord Stream Awards Contract for External Inspection of the Pipeline to MMT
Zug, May 18, 2017. MMT Sweden has been awarded a three-year contract by Nord Stream AG to inspect both lines of the Nord Stream Pipeline running through the Baltic Sea from Russia to Germany. The external inspection of the pipeline will be executed by the joint venture between MMT Sweden and Reach Subsea.The scope of work, involving approximately 150 days for 2017, includes visual and instrumental inspection of the pipelines with remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) over the entire length of the route. MMT has entered into a contract with Medgaz in Spain for inspection of the offshore pipeline between Algeria and Spain.The project will be performed within the Joint Venture agreement between MMT and Reach Subsea utilizing the vessel Edda Fonn.
The pipeline transports gas from Algeria to Spain and crosses the Mediterranean at a maximum depth of 2.155 metres of water.
The inspection work will be performed in February 2017.
