New Cut Size Line in France In line with the strategy for Modo Paper to strengthen the position in the European cut size market, Modo Paper has decided to invest in a new cut size line in Alizay, France. This will increase the company's total volume of office paper in A4 cut size and at the same time allow for product optimization between the Alizay, Husum and Wifsta mills in Sweden. The cut size line in Alizay was ordered on April 5 and it will increase the total cut size capacity from 90,000 tons to 220,000 tons per year in Alizay. The start-up in Alizay will be in January 2001 and once running 75% of the total paper production in Alizay will be office paper in cut sizes. The total investment amounts to MSEK 165.
