Modul-System launch Modul-Connect PRO
Modul-Connect is a platform for all digital and electrical devices in commercial vehicles, for the driver to operate and monitor the vehicle through the Modul-Connect App. The Modul-Connect PRO has the same functionality as the Modul-Connect system, but also allows the fleet manager to monitor and manage all vehicles through the Modul-Connect Web Portal. “The smartphone revolutionised the way people connect. Now Modul-Connect PRO is about to give the same freedom within vehicle fleet management”, says Thomas Johansson, Vice President of Modul-System.
In 2019 the Modul-Connect platform was introduced. Thanks to a powerful control box and the Modul-Connect App, the electrical products can be managed using a phone or tablet (iOS or Android), a battery driven remote control, or powered switches with or without display.
The new Modul-Connect PRO system has the same functionality and includes a SIM card and sends all data to the cloud for visualisation in the Web Portal. In the portal, all vehicles are displayed where you can follow their current position, route, battery level and, if a weighing system is installed, the current weight. If the system detects a sensor value outside the allowed range, a warning is displayed on the map.
“This means that not only the driver is warned about over-weight, low battery levels or other events, now also the fleet manager ”, says Thomas Johansson.
All data is stored and using the calendar function you can easily review previous routes, driving patterns and warnings.
“By accessing online and historical data, our customers have valuable information to improve their daily efficiency”, Thomas Johansson explains.
During the spring additional products and services will be added to the product range, like driving journal, PIR-sensor, temperature sensor and asset trackers. With the driving journal service, reports are generated with exact routes, driving pattern and road toll passages. The driver can categorise the trip as business or personal, which comes in handy when preparing the monthly tax report.
“The reports can be customized for organizations having certain requirements for integrity”, explains Thomas Johansson.
