Monahans on Cloud Nine at The Business Show Swindon

Monahans, one of the largest independent chartered accountancy groups in the South West of England, exhibited at the extremely popular Business Show Swindon on 19 March 2013 and were pleased with the huge amount of interest in their new cloud accounting service.

The show took place at the STEAM Museum in Swindon and offered speed networking, business growth and marketing & export seminars as well as an opportunity for businesses to exhibit.

Visitors to the Monahans’ stand received demonstrations of their cloud accounting service, utilising FreeAgent, and learnt how the service can give businesses a competitive edge by allowing you to manage your business and know exactly what is going on quickly and easily, with minimum input from you and your staff.

There was a constant stream of visitors from a wide range of local and national organisations, many of whom were interested in talking to an accountant to help develop their businesses. Cloud accounting in particular was of great interest to business owners, with the majority appreciating the benefits it could bring to their business and the user friendliness of the FreeAgent product.

A competition to win an iPad Mini also took place on the Monahans’ stand, the winner- Joe Hill of Ultimate Finance, was selected by achieving the fastest lap in a fast and furious racing game.

Within the Sir Daniel Gooch Theatre, Monahans Partner, Simon Cooper, presented a workshop to teams participating in the Young Enterprise Scheme, outlining the importance of good financial management for businesses. The Young Enterprise Scheme is the UK's largest enterprise education charity. The workshop gave students the opportunity to listen to business representatives and learn from real life experiences.

Simon Cooper was impressed by their enthusiasm and initiative. "It was great for me to spend some time with the next generation of potential business entrepreneurs. We had a really useful discussion about their various business initiatives and I was able to share information and ideas, particularly around financial issues, which are addressed by all successful business. I wish all the teams the best of luck in the final stages of the Young Enterprise initiative and look forward to seeing their future progress."
