Mont Blanc Group Validates Activa Roof Rack for Rooftop Tent Use Through Dedicated Testing Protocol
Mont Blanc Group today announced that its popular Activa roof rack series has been successfully validated for use with rooftop tents after extensive in-house testing and industry feedback. The validation confirms that Activa roof racks can safely support typical rooftop tents when used correctly, offering drivers a reliable platform for camping on their vehicle roofs.
Originally designed as a versatile roof bar for general cargo, Activa has now demonstrated its capability to support rooftop tent use under typical usage conditions. Mont Blanc’s internal validation focused on representative loading scenarios, including static bench testing, confirming that the Activa rack remained securely attached when properly installed under normal use. The validation also confirmed that all Activa bar profiles – Steel, Standard Aluminium, and Aero Aluminium – are suitable for rooftop tent use.
The company emphasizes that users should follow standard guidelines (proper mounting and a quick re-tightening of the roof rack after each day’s use) to maintain maximum safety.
