Montgomery College Earns All Four 2013 Alliance for Workplace Excellence Awards

Montgomery College will receive the Workplace Excellence Seal of Approval, the Health and Wellness Trailblazer Award, the EcoLeadership Award and the new Diversity Champion Award from the Alliance for Workplace Excellence, a nonprofit organization that recognizes “Excellent Places to Work.”The Alliance will recognize Montgomery College and other area employers at its annual awards ceremony on May 15 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. This year marks the ninth year in a row that Montgomery College will receive the Seal of Approval, the eighth straight year for the Trailblazer Award and the fourth time that the College has earned the EcoLeadership honors. This is the first year for the Diversity Champion Award.

The Alliance has recognized the Washington, DC area’s best places to work for the past 14 years, plus recognizes health and wellness trailblazers and EcoLeaders dedicated to creating sustainable workplaces. The 68 winning companies in 2013 are from all across the US, with the majority being concentrated in the greater DC area. The winners represent more than one million employees from organizations of all sizes and in all sectors—private, public and nonprofit.
