Montgomery College-Rockville to Host College Info Session for Unique Populations, June 27

Montgomery College will host an information session for prospective students on Thursday, June 27 from 5–9 p.m. in the Campus Center cafeteria on the Rockville Campus, located at 51 Mannakee Street. Registration and information tables open at 5 p.m. and the breakout sessions begin at 6 p.m.

The event is for unique populations including those who completed their education outside the US, are non-native speakers of English, obtained a college degree in another country, meet the requirements of the Maryland Dream Act or received deferred action for childhood arrivals. 

The breakout sessions will discuss the following areas:

• Overview of Montgomery College programs and steps to enroll

• The US higher education system and how it works

• How to obtain the necessary documents if you need an F1 student visa

• Federal and state financial aid programs for US citizens, permanent residents and refugees

• College tuition and expenses for individuals with non-immigrant status or Maryland Dream Act students

• For individuals with international educational credentials: How to use your education from abroad to access education or advance your career

• Montgomery College support services for immigrants and adult students
