About Us

On September 16, 1946, the first Montgomery College classes were held in the evenings at a local high school with a student body of 186 men and women. Today, the College has grown to a multi-campus institution and serves nearly 60,000 students a year, through both credit and noncredit programs, in more than 100 areas of study.

Chautauqua 2014 at Montgomery College Celebrates “Creative Women: Breaking the Mold,” July 9-11

Georgia O’Keeffe, Emily Dickinson and Frida Kahlo will come alive this summer at Montgomery College’s 15th annual Chautauqua celebration at the Germantown Campus, July 9–11. Actors/scholars will portray the historical figures, bringing to life this year’s theme of “Creative Women: Breaking the Mold,” at the three-night, family-friendly event. Frank Islam and Debbie Driesman Foundation Awards $15,000 Grant to Montgomery College Foundation for Athenaeum Symposia

The Frank Islam and Debbie Driesman Foundation is providing a $15,000 grant to the Montgomery College Foundation to support the 2013-2014 Athenaeum Symposia, an annual lecture series held at the Germantown Campus. The grant funds will enable the College to bring nearly a dozen nationally known experts to talk about timely issues in international affairs, the arts, politics, and economics.
