About Us

On September 16, 1946, the first Montgomery College classes were held in the evenings at a local high school with a student body of 186 men and women. Today, the College has grown to a multi-campus institution and serves nearly 60,000 students a year, through both credit and noncredit programs, in more than 100 areas of study.

Aronson Foundation Awards $25,000 Grant to the Montgomery College Foundation for Honors Business Scholarships

The Montgomery College Foundation is the recipient of a $25,000 grant from the Aronson Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Aronson LLC, a nationally-ranked top 50 accounting and consulting firm headquartered in Rockville. The grant will support students interested in pursuing careers in accounting who are enrolled in the Gordon and Marilyn Macklin Business Institute (MBI) honors program. A full scholarship will be awarded to one MBI student per year for the next five years, beginning in the fall 2014 semester.
