About Us

On September 16, 1946, the first Montgomery College classes were held in the evenings at a local high school with a student body of 186 men and women. Today, the College has grown to a multi-campus institution and serves nearly 60,000 students a year, through both credit and noncredit programs, in more than 100 areas of study.

Please join Montgomery College President Dr. DeRionne P. Pollard at the president's opening reception for Montgomery College's Portraits of Life Exhibit series November 21 at the Pepco Edison Place Gallery located at 702 8th Street, NW in Washington, DC from 6-8 p.m. There will be a tribute to the late Bella Mischkinsky, holocaust survivor, friend, and donor, for her generous gift to the Montgomery College Foundation. The event, which emphasizes tolerance, understanding, knowledge, and the inherent value of the individual, is the first time all three components of the exhibit--Portraits
