LAS VEGAS, June 14, 2023 – Moonbug Entertainment, a part of Candle Media, is rapidly growing its softlines division through collaborations with globally renowned fashion and home brands, a new creative approach to design and a strong in-house team. Moonbug has recently collaborated with sports brand PUMA, footwear company Crocs and is today announcing an exciting collaboration with children’s furniture company Roo & You. These collaborations mark a serious step forward for Moonbug, opening new avenues of off-screen affinity and innovation in the children's apparel and home verticals.

The versatility of Moonbug’s characters and designs becomes particularly relevant in collections such as the new Roo & You kids’ furniture collaboration. Moonbug has partnered with the popular kids’ furniture brand to develop CoComelon and Blippi inspired versions of the Playroom Furniture Collection, including the Joey Play Couch, a high-end modular foam couch built just for kids. The line will be sold in the US and Canada directly through Roo & You’s website and will be available from July.

Later this year, Moonbug will also be partnering globally with Crocs to release a new CoComelon inspired clog, following the successful launch of a collection of CoComelon Jibbitz in December 2022.

“We have aligned with best in class partners and utilize top design trends to create fashion forward softlines collections that resonate with our youngest fans and their caregivers, providing another way for us to tell our brand story off-screen,” said Joan Grasso, Head of Consumer Products - The Americas at Moonbug Entertainment. “Using this approach, we ensure our designs appeal to both global and local audiences, making an impact everywhere our brands are present, while at the same time creating new, exciting looks that capture individuality and self-expression.

In March 2023, Moonbug and PUMA announced the launch of a kids’ footwear and apparel line, inspired by Moonbug’s hit show, CoComelon. The PUMA x CoComelon collection, available at Kids Foot Locker and select PUMA stores across the US, features beloved characters like JJ, Nina, and Cody, and includes five different shoes, as well as onesies and two-piece sets in both infant and preschool sizing. Designed to be bright and vibrant, the items incorporate bold color-blocking, playful patterns and graphics that appeal to both brands’ audiences.

Moonbug’s softlines creative in-house team has a combined 40 years experience across trend forecasting, design and product development in soft goods. The team follows a trend-based approach, tapping into outlets such as WGSN and Trend Bible as well as whilst analyzing consumer shifts through external research and via its own internal teams. Merging creativity with data, the team consistently develops beautiful designs that both parents and kids love, leading to successful partnerships with top brands and expansions into new categories such as infant apparel.
