Petplan Supports Morris Animal Foundation with Matching Gift During #Giving Tuesday
Black Friday. Cyber Monday. Now, Experience #GivingTuesday.
November 13, 2012/DENVER — Petplan pet insurance will celebrate its two-year partnership with Morris Animal Foundation by participating with the nonprofit for #GivingTuesday. This charitable social movement was founded by nonprofit and corporate communities to make a difference and embrace the spirit of the holidays.
The inaugural, one-day event will take place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and encourages people to give back to their communities through volunteerism, donations and advocacy. Petplan will match all gifts, up to $1,000, that are given through Morris Animal Foundation’s #GivingTuesday web page on November 27.
Through social media channels and its website, Morris Animal Foundation will engage supporters, like Petplan, in a conversation about philanthropy. Petplan is a leading pet health insurance provider for rescues, shelters and humane societies.
"Partnering with Morris Animal Foundation for #GivingTuesday is a way for us to join forces with a world leader in veterinary medicine in support of our common mission: to make the lives of pets better. For us, pets come first. And our deep commitment to pet health is what drives everything we do,” said Natasha Ashton, co-founder and co-CEO of Petplan pet insurance.
“We are grateful for our continued partnership with Petplan,” said Jeremy Kelley, director of corporate partnerships at Morris Animal Foundation. “Their involvement in #GivingTuesday will help celebrate canine and feline best friends during the holidays.”
