Mott MacDonald acquires Procyon Oil & Gas

Engineering, management and development consultancy Mott MacDonald is pleased to announce that it has acquired Procyon Oil & Gas Limited

Procyon Oil & Gas Limited is a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy providing services to a broad range of clients in the upstream oil and gas industry for both offshore and onshore locations. Procyon offers specialised process and facilities services across all phases of upstream design, engineering, construction and operation.  The company has 45 staff based in Guildford, UK, and experience of working in many countries with current key areas of focus being the UK/Ireland and West Africa. 

Procyon has a diverse project portfolio covering all project work phases including M&A support, due diligence / independent design reviews, conceptual screening / design, debottlenecking analysis, facilities definition, FEED, detailed design, PMT, project management, cost and schedule estimation, procurement, construction management and operations support. Their work is broadly split 50/50 between offshore and onshore development projects.

Mott MacDonald has more than 1,400 staff in its global Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals team engaged in developing, designing and providing project management services for onshore and offshore facilities and providing leading expertise on cross border supply issues and alternative technologies. Projects include engineering, procurement and construction management services around the world as well as high-level advisory services to the EU, government ministries and global oil & gas companies on energy strategy, market development and supply security.

Commenting on this latest acquisition Mott MacDonald chairman Keith Howells said: “Bringing Procyon into the Group will strengthen our ability to provide all phases of upstream design, process engineering, construction management and operation for our clients operating both in the offshore and onshore arena.
