Mott MacDonald has been appointed by the UK’s Government Procurement Service as one of the suppliers for the Environmental and Sustainability Advice, Support and Delivery Services framework agreement (RM830) which will operate throughout the UK.

The framework agreement has been developed to allow central government departments, along with the wider public sector including local authorities and health trusts, to procure services on a national basis. The appointment incorporates a broad range of environmental and sustainability services, split by advisory and non-advisory services across a variety of subjects. Mott MacDonald has been successful in securing a place in three of the eighteen lots of the framework which cover air, climate change and noise and statutory noises.

For Lot 1 - Air – Mott MacDonald will provide policy and technical advice which includes environmental measures, health and safety issues, air quality and environmental and scientific knowledge transfer and exchange.

For Lot 10 - Climate change – the consultancy will carry out environmental measurement and assessments, management plans, climate modelling and deliver support for developing design adaptation measures.

For Lot 12 - Noise and statutory noises – Mott MacDonald will carry out noise impact assessments, undertake assessment of population exposure and analysis of results from other studies, including measurements, modelling and noise mapping.

Mott MacDonald’s project manager Kevin Leather said: “Mott MacDonald is at the forefront of tackling sustainability issues as part of our projects in the UK and internationally. We have a detailed understanding and wide ranging experience in the fields of air, noise and climate change including in particular climate change adaptation and climate change risk assessment. This appointment is a major success for Mott MacDonald and underlines our commitment to delivering best practice in sustainability.”

The initial framework agreement term is due to run until 2015 with an option to extend for a further one-year period.
