Mott MacDonald earns fifth consecutive RoSPA health and safety award
Mott MacDonald has been awarded a prestigious Gold Medal by British safety charity the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) to recognise the consultancy’s fifth consecutive Gold Award. Mott MacDonald received the medal at the 2013 Occupational Health and Safety Awards, which took place at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel at the National Exhibition Centre.
Dating back 57 years, the RoSPA Awards scheme is the leading and longest-running programme of its kind in the UK. It recognises commitment to accident and ill health prevention and is open to organisations of all types and sizes both in the UK and overseas. The scheme not only looks at accident records, but also entrants’ overarching health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
Mott MacDonald’s managing director Richard Williams said: “This fifth consecutive RoSPA award acknowledges our continued commitment to the safety of our entire staff around the world.”
David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said: “RoSPA firmly believes that businesses that demonstrate continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention deserve credit. Mott MacDonald has shown that it is committed to striving for such improvement and we are delighted to honour them with this award.”
The headline sponsor for the 2013 RoSPA Awards is the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), the leading health and safety professional examining body. For more information about the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards see www.rospa.com/awards/
