Moving Pictures and Bonnier form a leading Nordic e-learning company Moving Pictures is merging with Bonnier Kunskap to create one of the leading interactive learning companies in the Nordic region. The owners of Bonnier Kunskap will be paid in the form of shares in Moving Pictures and the Bonnier Group will become a new major shareholder in the merged company. Following the purchase of education company Bonnier Kunskap, which has more than 30 employees, Moving Pictures estimates that its turnover will be SEK 100 million this year. Following the acquisition, the company has 110 employees and offices in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. "The deal with Bonnier Kunskap makes us one of the leading players on the rapidly expanding Nordic market for interactive education. The acquisition will produce great synergies and will increase our opportunities for continued expansion," says Jan Lindholm, Chairman of the Board of Moving Pictures. "E-learning has enormous potential and will be the next major growth area on the Internet after e-commerce. So far we have only taken the first steps in what will become a revolution in education," says Kjell Spångberg, one of the company's joint owners. Bonnier Kunskap is part of Bonnier AB, the leading media company in the Nordic region. The company develops individual training and customised training in Microsoft programmes and complements Moving Pictures' courses, principally in use of the Internet. Moving Pictures develops and distributes its profile via Internet training which consists of a combination of self study using interactive teaching materials and supervised training.
