MQ’s new CEO Christina Ståhl takes office

In June, the MQ Board of Directors appointed Christina Ståhl as the company’s new CEO with the anticipated date for taking office being during the autumn. Christina Ståhl took up her new position in the past few days and is now leading the operations from MQ’s head office in Gothenburg.

“We are delighted that Christina is already installed and ready to lead MQ’s operations. Her energetic leadership, excellent experience of the retail sector and track record of achieving earnings improvements will greatly benefit MQ,” says Erik Olsson, Chairman of the Board.

Christina Ståhl, 42, has a Master of Economics degree from the University of Lund. She was CEO of Mio AB between September 2007 and July 2013. Prior to that, she was active in the ICA Group, in such positions as CEO of Etos AB and Corporate Head of ICA’s Health & Beauty initiatives.

Yesterday, I had the honour to open our new MQ store in Västervik and next week we have the new opening of our store in Täby Centrum. In view of MQ’s ambition of strengthening its position as the leading brand chain in the Nordic region customer, I couldn’t have got off to a better start,” says Christina Ståhl, CEO of MQ.
