MTG Studios’ ‘Veni Vidi Vici’ in official selection for MIPDrama Screenings
- MTG Studios original named as one of 12 finalists in MIPDrama Screenings official selection

- Finalists to compete for awards to be presented at the Closing Cermony
The MTG Studios Original Series ‘Veni Vidi Vici’ has been named as one of 12 productions to be showcased during the prestigious MIPDrama Screenings in Cannes on 2 April. The series premieres on MTG’s Nordic video streaming service Viaplay on 13 April.
The 2017 MIPDrama Screenings will offer the international drama community, including 450 buyers, an exclusive look at some of the most exciting upcoming series. Six awards will be presented, including two prizes selected by a stellar international jury of writers, directors and executive producers.
‘Veni Vidi Vici’ explores the drastic consequences of struggling Danish film director Karstan Daugaard’s decision to take a job in the adult entertainment industry. The 10-part series stars top Nordic talents Thomas Bo Larsen, Rafael Edholm and Livia Millhagen, together with Canadian actor Michael Wincott.

The latest original production commissioned by MTG Studios is ‘ALEX’, starring Dragomir Mrsic. Other forthcoming titles include drama ‘The Lawyer’; political thriller ‘Embassy Down’; the second season of the LA based comedy drama ‘Swedish Dicks’; Nordic noir ‘Hassel’; and biopic ‘SuperSwede’ about the life of Formula 1 driver Ronnie Peterson.
MTG’s content production and distribution businesses will exhibit at MIPTV held in Cannes following MIPDrama Screenings on 3-6 April. Jørgen Madsen Lindemann, MTG President and CEO, will give a keynote on 3 April, addressing the latest trends within the media industry and the company’s ongoing strategic transformation from a traditional broadcaster into a global digital video entertainer.
