Mullvad sponsors OWASP security conference
24 October 2016 (Gothenburg, Sweden) – IT security experts in the Nordic region and beyond will gather in Gothenburg, Sweden, on November 24th for a full day of workshops and presentations. The event is hosted by OWASP Gothenburg, a local chapter of the Open Web Application Security Project. With online security and privacy at the core of its mission, Mullvad is proud to be sponsoring the event.
OWASP is a worldwide, nonprofit organization that strives to ensure the development of software that is secure and safe. The global community achieves this in part by holding events in order to educate those who attend. "People essentially want to make their own, good decisions when it comes to online privacy, but they first need the proper knowledge to do so," says Mikael Falkvidd, chapter leader of OWASP Gothenburg.

The 2016 OWASP event in Gothenburg will mark the sixth annual occurrence of this growing event in an ever increasingly important field. "We want to help strengthen the regional competence within online privacy and security, so we're quite lucky to have an OWASP community in our hometown," says Mullvad CEO Jan Jonsson.
