The Malmö-based company MultiQ has received its first order on 450 flat monitors from a major European airport. The monitors will be installed at Amsterdams Schiphol Airport. This order is a great breakthrough for MultiQ, as it will be the first airport installation outside the Nordic region. It also represents a return of airports confidence in investment since the turbulent events of the autumn. Airports constitute one of many market segments to which MultiQs flat-panel monitors are perfectly suited with their robustness, striking design and customer-specific adaptations. MultiQs monitors are already installed in almost every airport in Sweden and Norway, as well as London City Airport. Other market segments for MultiQs monitor solutions include public applications in the areas of commerce, lottery systems and banking. - A year ago, we predicted that airports would be an important market for us, following successful installations at airports in Sweden and Norway and the SITA approval we received in conjunction with this, explains Jonathan Nilsson, MultiQs MD. - However, for obvious reasons, investment in the aviation industry ceased last autumn. We are now seeing several signs of increased demand and this is the first concrete order from a number of tenders. We believe that this marks an important reinvigoration of the airport segment.
