Munters awarded large damage restoration order in the US In May the US Midwest suffered from a tornado which devastated a Nebraska School compound consisting of three buildings. Munters received the contract, consisting of the Elementary, Junior High and High School campuses of the Norris County School District, to restore damages after the said storms. The contract signed is worth USD 2,7 million. The restoration work started with traditional water damage restoration but expanded to document drying and specific cleaning services as the project progressed. The project is a good example of Munters broadening the offering from traditional water damage restoration to full service offering for property damage restoration. The final phase, just awarded, included the contents cleaning and involves cleaning all the desks, chairs and other school contents. In total this is about 30,000 to 40,000 cubic meters of a variety of products to be restored. Munters started the project on May 21, 2004 and it will be completed by the end of August 2004.
