Munters creates the perfect climate for Pirelli-production Munters builds a climate controlled production area for sub-sea cable production. Pirelli, the large manufacturer of tyres, energy and telecom cables, has their production of high voltage sub-sea cables in Earith, UK. Munters will build a climate controlled production area of 650 square metres. Munters dehumidi-fication equipment has been designed to keep the temperature at a constant 23ºC and the relative humidity at 3% or less. "The condition in this sealed space is more arid than Death Valley in the US, which is one of the driest places on earth," says Christine Modla, Divisional Manager at Munters UK. This excep-tionally dry environment is necessary for the application of Pirelli technology resulting in superior product quality and performance. "This is one of many examples where Munters can help eliminate the damages that can arise from too much or too little humidity ", Christine concludes. The value of the order is SEK 12 million.
