Munters improve efficiency During the fall 2004, all European production of components CELdek for cooling systems will be consolidated to Munters production plant in Imperia, Italy, in order to render production and logistics more efficient. Munters manufacture CELdek at ten plants worldwide. The CELdek component today manufactured in Tobo, Sweden, is further refined in Italy and in addition, final delivery is made primarily to customers in southern Europe, the Middle-East and Africa. "CELdek is a space consuming product and therefore expensive in terms of transportation. The shift of production site will result in a favourable cost estimate, and an efficient production structure, which will make us more competitive. We regret that our employees will be affected and we will offer these individuals priority to the new positions created in Imperia", says Sören Sjöström, HR & Corporate Communications. The relocation from Tobo implies a redundancy of some 25 positions.
