Munters takes over dehumidification business from Japanese trade house Nichimen Munters has concluded an agreement to take over the dehumidification business from the Japanese trade house Nichimen. The agreement includes that Munters takes over key personnel, customers, ongoing business transactions and service contracts. "This agreement gives Munters an extraordinary opportunity to establish commercial climate control systems such as DryCool and DesiCool in Japan," says Erik Williamsson, President Munters Region Asia. The Nichimen business gives Munters a new customer network in Japan. Munters will also take over the service of Nichimens installed base, which consists of 50 dehumidification systems. "The Nichimen business will be an important contribution to Munters in Japan," Erik Williamsson says. Nichimen is one of Japan's leading trade houses. The company has sold dehumidification systems since 1995. When Nichimen now divests the dehumidification business Munters takes over concerned key personnel. Munters will continue the ongoing cooperation with Tokyo Gas and Osaka Gas. Munters has been established in Japan since 1987 and has around 80 employees in the country.
