Water treatment for 12 millions Munters Ltd in UK has been awarded a contract for the supply and installation of BIOdek Wastewater treatment media at West of Scotland Water Company's Daldowie Sewage Treatments Works. The contract value is 12 million SEK, and is the biggest single order placed with Munters in the field of Wastewater products so far during 1998. The first filter is to be installed December 1998. -We are pleased to see that our efforts in marketing and sales are proving to be successful in the UK Market, says Munters' CEO Lennart Evrell. -During the rest of 1998 we are expecting to secure orders from several more Wastewater plants for the installation of our technology. Oceans, lakes and streams are purified in nature through interaction between water, air and microorganisms. Munters' Wastewater treatment technology functions in the same way. Manufacture of biological filters takes place in Aachen in Germany and in Huntingdon in the UK. -Several countries are working on upgrading their treatment plants to comply with current EU legislation, says Lennart Evrell. In addition, we consider Eastern Europe to be a large potential market for our Wastewater treatment products. An important explanation for Munters' strong position is that the technology can be applied in already existing Wastewater plants.
