MSOA recommends Bria Iphone App as MSI component for ultimate savings, call quality

INDIANAPOLIS, IN- January 11, 2011 – My Social Income, Inc. (OTC: MSOA) (www.mysocialincome.com), announces today, as part of an initiative to bring MSI customers the very best in VoIP calling technologies, it has identified Counterpath Corporation’s Bria IPhone App as the perfect pairing to MSI’s platform, magnifying the benefits of the MSI global network for additional user savings and solutions.

The Bria iPhone edition allows iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad users to utilize VoIP calling in tandem with MSI’s calling network to make pure VoIP calls from these devices at next-to-nothing prices, without sacrificing mobile plan minutes. Using the iPhone or iPod’s existing contact list, Bria iPhone Edition facilitates easy and effective communication management with an intuitive interface that accommodates multiple calls.

The Bria app allows the user to have up to 8 SIP accounts on their phone, and call functionality includes the ability to swap between two calls, merge and split calls and perform attended and unattended transfers.  Bria iPhone Edition is a superior iPhone VoIP application for enterprises as it can be used as an extension to enterprise client’s PBX, thus allowing business users free mobile calls to and from their company’s PBX, and instant access to everyone in their offices.

MSI CEO, John A. Roberts comments, “We are continually testing available products to maximize the MSI user experience, and highly recommend this solution to our clients as what we feel to be the very best SIP application for Apple i-products.  Combining the Bria App (available through the Apple App Store, for $7.99 USD) with MSI’s global network provides what we feel to be the best combinations of calling technologies today.”

He continues, “iPhone is of course, a phone, and therefore you would expect to be able to make calls from it.  What is different in using the Bria iPhone Edition is that it is a SIP-based phone that uses a Wi-Fi or 3G connection to make and receive calls.  Therefore customers can make and receive calls without using their cellular airtime.  iPod Touch and iPad users can make and receive calls from their devices by using the Bria iPhone Edition, and either a wired earpiece headset, or a Bluetooth wireless headset.”

The App with MSI also addresses quality issues. An issue of note is that many iPhone users have noted that the AT&T 3G Network is perceived as being inferior to the networks offered by other carriers.  In testing done in Los Angeles and San Francisco, MSI’s technical team successfully made calls throughout the area, never losing a connection, and never using AT&T…  “It’s not to say anything against AT&T or any other carrier for that matter,” notes Roberts, “simply that for the lowest cost solution, our testers made calls using available public and private WiFi connections… in Starbucks, their favorite sushi bar, nightclubs, at LAX, etc.  Because the Bria interface allows the user to select the network mode, we can use 3G when it works, or switch to WiFi when it does not.”

Universal access was obtained by using a Verizon MiFi 2200, to create a virtual WiFi Network that the iPad, and iPod touch could access anywhere in the area. Roberts comments,  “Users have demanded an iPhone on the Verizon network for years: this is the next best thing, and ultimately will be a much less costly calling alternative.”

MSI execs note that, additionally, this combination can be an essentials for travelers: taking a Bria-equipped iPod touch internationally, the user can have free global service anywhere WiFi is available; and with the same  technology, access MSI’s nominal-cost international calling, a publicly accessible phone number in their home area, and even a local number in the international destination where they are traveling, all without the risk of ever incurring painfully high cellular roaming charges.

“The airtime charges are Zero,” adds Roberts. “It require WiFi to function, but that is widely available, and for the price, worth accessing. By combining it with a Verizon 3G network WiFi hub, ($59.95 month) it is nearly perfect. This allows people all over the world to call anywhere else on our network without incurring roaming charges, and we’re thrilled to have tested it successfully as a viable platform component.”

The company has submitted results to Israel with confidence it will also facilitate additional opportunities with partners there.

The Bria iPhone edition is available through its manufacturer, CounterPath Corporation, at http://www.counterpath.com/bria-iphone-edition.html
