Management and Board of Directors subscribe for shares in the rights issue in Micronic

Täby, Sweden, June 17, 2003 -- Micronic Laser Systems AB (Stockholmsbörsen's Attract 40: MICR), is at the forefront in semiconductor and display laser pattern generators for the production of photomasks to the world wide electronic industries. Management and Board of Directors subscribe for shares in the rights issue in Micronic Management and the Board of Directors intend to subscribe for 302,921 shares in the ongoing rights issue, representing approximately 90 percent of the subscription rights received. To finance participation in the rights issue 138,800 shares and 45,000 subscription rights have been sold. As a result of this, management and the Board of Directors will increase their holdings in Micronic, from 347,921 shares to 512,042 shares, representing approximately one percent of the share capital after accomplished rights issue. Sven Lofquist, CEO and President of Micronic Laser Systems, has sold 39,000 shares to finance subscription of 60,750 shares, corresponding to the entire number of subscription rights received. After completion of the rights issue Sven Lofquist holds 82,500 shares in Micronic.
