Micronic Names Kjell Bohlin Chief Technical Officer Täby, Sweden - December 11, 2003 - Micronic Laser Systems AB (Stockholmsbörsen's Attract 40: MICR), a leading manufacturer of laser pattern generation equipment to the display and semiconductor industries, has named Kjell Bohlin, Ph.D to the position of chief technical officer, and member of Micronic's Corporate Management Team. Dr. Bohlin assumes overall responsibility for Micronic's technical development, succeeding Hans Buhre, who is stepping down from full-time employment. Mr. Buhre has been with Micronic since 1986 and has played a decisive role in the development of much of Micronic's leading edge advanced laser pattern generation technology. Mr. Buhre will retain a position as strategic technology advisor in Micronic. Dr. Bohlin brings to Micronic more than 30 years of electronics research and experience. He earned a professorship and doctoral degree in electronics at Uppsala University. He has held various positions within Ericsson Microelectronics from 1993 to 2002. Most recently he spent more than a year as senior director and head of technology and innovations at Infineon Technologies Wireless Sweden AB.
