Micronic Receives New Order for LRS Series Pattern Generation Tool for Advanced TFT-LCD Photomasks Täby, Sweden - October 23, 2003 - Micronic Laser Systems AB (Stockholmsbörsen's Attract 40: MICR), a leading manufacturer of laser pattern generation equipment to the display and semiconductor industries, today announced that a Japanese customer has placed an order for an LRS Series pattern generation tool for advanced TFT-LCD display photomasks. The system is expected to ship during the second half of 2004. "The LCD TV market continues to grow rapidly and will require advanced pattern generation technology. Recent orders have shown the strength in Micronic's product offerings for this burgeoning market as well as for the traditional monitor market," said Sven Löfquist, president and CEO of Micronic Laser Systems AB. This is the fourth order for a display pattern generation tool that Micronic has received since June 2003.
