Micronic receives repeat order from Japan Micronic has received a repeat order from a major Japanese customer for a laser writer used to produce photomasks for displays. The order has a value in excess of MSEK 30, with delivery planned for the fourth quarter of 1999. "The order is a result of long-term co-operation and confirms our leading market position. It also enhances Micronics strong presence on the Japanese market", says Ulf Sundström, sales manager. Micronic Laser Systems in brief Micronic Laser Systems is a Swedish high-tech company engaged in the development, manufacturing and marketing of a series of extremely accurate laser writers for the production of photomasks. The technology involved is known as microlithography. Micronic's systems are used by the world's leading electronics companies in the manufacturing of television and computer displays, semiconductor circuits and semiconductor packaging components. The company has 160 employess, 125 of which have joined the company since the beginning of 1996.
