Micronic's Nomination Committee Proposes Election of Three New Members of the Board Taby, Sweden - February 23, 2004 - Micronic Laser Systems AB (Stockholmsborsen's Attract 40: MICR), a leading manufacturer of laser pattern generation equipment to the display and semiconductor industries, today announced that the nomination committee proposes election of three new members of the Board. The nomination committee proposes to the Annual General Meeting, March 24, 2004, election of Jorgen Centerman, Lars Nyberg and Lena Torell as new Members of the Board and re-election of the Board Members Hans Fletcher, Sven Lofquist, Goran Malm, Christer Zetterberg and Lars Ojefors until the end of the next AGM. No deputy is proposed for election. Bert Jeppsson, Millert Carlsson and Magnus Ryde have declined re-election. If the AGM appoints the Board of Directors according to the nomination committee's proposal, the Board intends to appoint Lars Nyberg to Chairman of the Board. The nomination committe consists of Lars Ojefors (Stiftelsen Industrifonden), Jesper Lyckéus (Capital Research Company), Marianne Nilsson (Robur Fonder) and Borje Ekholm (Investor).
