Molly-Mae has been keen to showcase the ways they’ve been getting their home ready for the birth on Instagram and fans have been eager to keep up to date with the updates.

With so many options available when it comes to nursery ware, the nursery could have gone in any direction. However, Molly-Mae decided to stick to a minimalist approach for their child, which was more or less positively received by fans and onlookers alike.

MyJobQuote’s interior designer and décor expert, Ryan McDonough, has decided to take a closer look at the nursery, unveiling information on the prices of certain elements as well as a look at why minimalism is so popular among millennials.

A Closer Look At The Minimalist Nursery

Let’s take a closer look at Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury’s minimalist nursery…

One of the first things we notice is the chic Bambi neon sign, providing a minimalist viewpoint on wall décor. The neon sign, retailing at £160, simply presents the baby’s name – a perfect way to welcome a new baby to their room.

The chic neon sign overlooks a modern acrylic crib, retailing at £5278. The clear crib looks elegantly minimalist and blends well with the surroundings. Plus, the clear nature of the crib presents it from looking too bulky and taking too much focus away from the rest of the room.

When it comes to accessories for the room, the Love Island stars seemed to spare no expenses, reportedly spending a whopping £9500 on various furnishings in their minimalist nursery. The pair didn’t hold back when it came to the design of the room. They splashed out £400 on the services of Neo Home, interior design specialists who designed the nursery.

One of the most stand-out features in the room is the unique lighting choice - A modern-looking cloud chandelier from Beautiful Halo, which retails at £463.82. This lighting choice adds softness to the room, making it feel much more cosy and dreamy. In addition to the cosy chandelier, we can also see a £160 Ottie and the Bea Mr Maria Miffy Lamp which helps to add more soft lighting to the room.

Additionally, we see a range of cosy furnishing choices such as the light beige sofa and designer Hermes Avalon throw blanket, costing £1,430. Next to the sofa, we see a Wayfair concrete table, which costs £132.99.

Why Are Millennials So Drawn Towards Minimalism?

Little Bambi’s nursery is definitely chic and follows the theme of minimalism. It’s very in tone with the design trends that continue to be popular among millennials. There’s no doubt that we’ll start seeing more and more nurseries following a similar theme moving forward.

Minimalism is imply characterised by modern lines, simplicity, and a concise colour palette. Minimalist interiors provide a relaxing, clutter-free environment.

Minimalism is something that will never go out of style. It’s a timeless aesthetic that appeals to home buyers and can even increase the value of your home. Plus, it’s a design trend that is extremely prevalent on social media. With this in mind, we’ll take a look at the effect of social media on the choice of a minimalist home design.

The Effect of Social Media on The Choice of Minimalism

It is important that we realise that social media has a big effect on our choices in life. Whether it’s our daily routine, our fashion choices, and even our interior design choices. This is especially true for those who have an online presence.

Social media has a way of putting our homes in the spotlight. This means that people are feeling more under pressure to create the perfect home which looks great from every angle. Social media invites people into your home as guests. When we look at Molly-Mae’s nursery, it’s easy to see how design choices are judged by people on social media.

For many people, this can be a terrifying thought. Is it really any wonder why people are pulling back from being creative with their home designs and swaying more towards the minimalistic approach?

Minimalist is huge on social media, particularly among millennial creators. However, it’s important to remember that a lot of influencer homes have been specially designed by a professional interior designer. As a consumer, it’s best to look at content and take inspiration without adhering to ever-changing fads that may not suit their home’s aesthetic.
