One of the easiest ways to get into the spirit of Easter is to decorate your home with unique easter-inspired decorations. So, what are the latest trends in Easter decorations? The home experts at MyJobQuote.co.uk have teamed up with a range of other home and interior design experts to create this list of the newest Easter decorating trends for 2024. Take a look at the list below for some Easter décor inspiration.

Natural Elements and Soft Pastels

“This year, the Easter décor trend leans heavily towards incorporating natural elements and soft pastels into Easter decorations," says Alex Webster, founder of Noobs Tech. With much more focus on sustainability and major shifts towards natural elements in interior design this year, it’s only fitting that Easter décor has also made this shift towards natural elements being used in the season’s crafting and décor.

“Think wreaths adorned with dried flowers, hand-painted Easter eggs in shades of blush and sky blue, and tablescapes that feature rustic elements like wood and burlap intertwined with delicate China and glassware. This combination of rustic and refined materials brings a fresh and inviting look that’s perfect for spring gatherings," Webster adds.

Gentle Country Tablescape

Country-style interior design is very popular right now. You can incorporate this look into your Easter décor in a few simple steps. "Use pastel-coloured tablecloths, napkins, and silverware to create the ideal Easter dinner setting," says Hannah Sanderson, CEO and founder of Clever Canadian.

“To create a beautiful and welcoming eating experience, layer items such as good dinnerware, Easter egg place card holders, and floral décor", Sanderson adds. The idea is to make the table look very cottagecore. Add natural elements, beautiful flowers, living herbs, and other country-style aspects.

Create a Unique Basket Display

Crafting is often a popular activity in the run-up to Easter. Did you know that you can create a unique basket wall display that can quickly transform your space into an Easter paradise? According to Billy Parker, director at Gift Delivery UK, it's actually very easy to create your own basket display, and it doesn't cost much to make either.

“I recommend repurposing old Easter baskets as wall decor by attaching them to a wooden frame and filling them with faux flowers or greenery. This can add a unique and personalized touch to any room," Parker explains.

Egg Decorating Hack

“One of the simplest hacks I like to share is using coffee filters to make stencilled eggshell designs", says Kyle Leman, home improvement expert and founder of Crossroads Foundation Repair.

“You can cut shapes from coloured coffee filters and lay them on plain eggs before using a small brush to lightly dust paint over the filters for a quick yet charming effect. Coffee filters are inexpensive, easy to work with, and clean-up is a breeze. Which makes for a fun DIY project” Leman explains.

Twine Carrots For Your Easter Table

If you want to create something fun and unique for your Easter dining table, you could consider crafting some twine carrots. According to Kerry Sherin, consumer advocate at Ownerly, all you need for this task is newspaper, faux grass, tape, wire, and orange paint.

Roll up the newspaper and use tape to make a carrot shape out of it. Place a piece of fake grass on top of the carrot and tape it together. Put twine around the carrot and paint it different shades of orange to make it look real” Sherin explains. This is a very easy crafting job and, yet, it can make a huge difference in making your Easter dinner table look extra special and unique.

Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Easter Décor

“This year, sustainable and eco-friendly decor is taking the forefront in Easter decorations” explains Alex Webster, founder of Noobs Tech. Focusing on materials that can be reused, recycled, or are biodegradable not only imbues the holiday spirit but also champions environmental responsibility.”

“A trend to watch is the use of natural dyes for Easter eggs, fabricated from kitchen scraps like onion skins and beet juice, which not only adds a rustic charm but also teaches a valuable lesson in sustainability", Webster adds.

Bunny Napkin Fold

“Elevate your Easter table setting with a simple yet adorable bunny napkin fold” suggests Eugene Kilmaszewski, president of Mammoth Security. This is a fun idea and something that you can even get the children involved with, making it a great Easter activity for the whole family.

“Start by folding a square cloth napkin in half diagonally to form a triangle. Then, fold the left and right corners of the triangle towards the centre, creating a diamond shape. Fold the bottom corner of the diamond up towards the top, leaving a small portion unfolded to form the bunny's head. Flip the napkin over and fold the two top corners down to create bunny ears. Finally, use a piece of ribbon or twine to tie a bow around the bunny's neck and place it on each plate for a whimsical touch," Kilmaszewski explains.

Eggshell Succulent Planters

“Instead of discarding eggshells after Easter egg decorating, you could repurpose them into charming succulent planters", suggests Umar Farooq, founder of Flooring Contractors San Diego. "Carefully crack open the top portion of emptied eggshells, ensuring the shells remain intact. Fill each eggshell halfway with potting soil, then gently plant small succulent cuttings or seeds," Farooq explains.

Arrange the eggshell planters in an egg carton or on a decorative tray, creating a whimsical and eco-friendly centrepiece for your Easter table," Farooq continues. "These miniature succulent planters add a touch of greenery to your decor while serving as adorable keepsakes for guests to take home after the celebration.
