Curious Little Witch is "Non-scary Halloween fun"

NorthSouth Books' Curious Little Witch  has been racking up the raves from esteemed children's book review media including Booklist, BookPage (including the quote above), and Publishers Weekly just in time for Halloween. Review copies are still available.

In her Indie Next Nomination, Kids Ink bookstore owner Shirley Mullin writes that The Curious Little Witch "is a welcome addition to our stories of witches.  An adventurous little witch falls though the window of a tall house where 'the lights were still shining'  breaking her broomstick.  As she seeks someone who can fix the broomstick, she meets a music witch, a cook witch, a sleeping witch, and finally a fix-it witch.  The witches are quite charming and not at all to be feared.  Each page has a clever half page that reveal surprising elements in the story."

Halloween party planners will appreciate the Curious Little Witch activities and ideas that can be found on http://www.northsouth.com. This little witch flies beyond Halloween, however, as BookPage notes that "The Curious Little Witch is likely to be enjoyed all year round, not just at Halloween."

Illustrated by the late Lieve Baeten, The Curious Little Witch is just now available for North American readers after years of best-seller status in Europe. Baeten frequently illustrated for U.S. publications including Cricket and her unique style conveys warmth, a wealth of detail, and a sly sense of humor.
