NACE International Announces Headquarters Relocation
New, larger office accommodates increased staff to serve fast-growing corrosion industry
NACE International, the world’s largest technical society serving corrosion industry professionals and businesses worldwide, today announced the relocation of its global headquarters in Houston. The new address is 15835 Park Ten Place Houston, Texas 77084.
“This move came just in time,” said Bob Chalker, NACE International CEO. “Increased demand from the Industry has led to the need for more staff at the association and we were quickly outgrowing our old office building. The new building’s spacious atrium and meeting rooms provide a comfortable, efficient workplace that is conducive to collaboration. Our new facility will help us continue serving our members and customers at the highest level.”
Established with a staff of five people in 1943, NACE International moved its headquarters to 1440 South Creek Drive in Houston in 1979, at the time there were 40 employees. Over the past five years NACE International’s Houston office has grown by significantly. There are now 100 employees at the Houston headquarters and 29 additional staff members in NACE offices worldwide.
NACE International will retain its old building and campus at 1440 South Creek Drive in Houston, Texas which is one mile from its new office. Courses will continue to take place at the Elcometer Building, NACE International’s Training Center on South Creek Drive, and the organization’s warehouse will also remain there.
“We are a member driven organization and our members made a decision to invest in the future of NACE International and their profession by acquiring this new office building,” said Chalker. “We recognize what a gift this is, and are proud that our members value our efforts.”
