20th December 2012 - Malvern, Worcestershire - HD Connectivity Ltd (HDC) is pleased to announce the launch of the HDanywhere™ 4x2 (four sources, two TV locations) Hybrid matrix switcher, featuring HDMI®, HDBaseT™ long-distance signal transmission technology and PoE (Power over Ethernet). The HDanywhere™ 2x4 Hybrid Matrix switcher is available now with an SRP of £499.99
Hybrid is the combination of a standard HDMI Matrix Switcher with a MULTIROOM+PoE module in a small form factor package. Ideal for creating a SMART HDTV signal distribution system, Hybrid gives users the ability to maximize their home entertainment technology including subscription TV and Blu-Ray™ to its fullest potential. Users can watch, control and enjoy up to four devices in stunning HD video and audio, plus a fast Internet connection, at two TV locations instead of one.
“Hybrid has been specifically designed to appeal to the UK average two TV householders. It is a low-cost, incredibly easy to install system, which, as an affordable entry to multiroom HD entertainment, is perfect for apartments and the vast majority of homes.” said MD of HDanywhere, Chris Pinder.
The system comprises of a central hub and a TV-mountable PoE receiver module. As PoE supplies power from the main unit to the receiver unit via its connecting network cable, there is no need for an additional power supply. The receiver module simply connects back to the hub via single network cable (Cat5e/6) up to 100m long for all video, power and control.
Users have the ability to select and control source functions such as pause, play and rewind, thanks to IR (infrared) remote control pass back to the hub. You can pause in one room and resume in another, which we call ‘Follow Me TV’.
When a broadband router is connected to the Hybrid central hub, fast Internet is also piped to each TV location. This means that users can maximise the full feature-set of the latest SMART TVs as a robust internet connection is essential for buffer-free viewing of on-line streaming services such as Netflix, Love Film and BBC iPlayer.
HDBaseT technology allows uncompressed HDMI, Fast Ethernet, PoE signals to be transmitted up to 100m over a single Cat5e/6 cable to the TV locations.
All IR cabling. system remote and 3rd party home automation drivers are bundled free for all major control systems, including Control4, AMX, RTI, URC.
Other Receiver module options include innovative tabletop and wall plate back box designs, all featuring PoE meaning that a separate power supply is not required.
The HDanywhere™ 2x4 Hybrid Matrix Switcher and Receiver is available now with an SRP of £499.99.
UK Wallplate Receiver option is available with an SRP of £199.99
