Scandyna Loudspeakers introduce the Smallpod Active with Bluetooth Wireless connectivity.

14th August, 2012 - Aldermaston, UK - Scandyna, the Danish loudspeaker company, is pleased to announce the Smallpod Active Bluetooth. Based on the timeless Scandyna design, the addition of an on-board amplifier and Bluetooth connectivity makes the Smallpod Active Bluetooth the most versatile loudspeaker in the Scandyna range. Available in the UK now with a UK SRP of £629.00 per pair, the Scandyna Smallpod Active Bluetooth is the ideal audio solution for those wanting exceptional sound quality combined with striking design.

With its powerful on-board amplifier, Bluetooth connectivity and 3.5mm stereo auxiliary input, the Smallpod Active Bluetooth is fully featured. Bluetooth connectivity allows the Smallpod Active Bluetooth to connect to any Bluetooth-enabled device, allowing the speakers to play music stored wirelessly, whilst the rear-mounted auxiliary input allows for hard wiring of music sources such as MP3 players or CD players. Control of Bluetooth sources is also possible from the included remote control, with track skip forward and back, play and pause, whilst volume up/down applies to all inputs.

Taking its overall design from the Scandyna MiniPod (one of the world’s most recognised loudspeakers) the Smallpod Active Bluetooth cabinet is essentially an amalgamation of three spheres to form one pressure-vessel, minimising cabinet vibration, sound radiation and distortion, allowing sound waves to move more freely. This technique significantly reduces distortion and, when combined with the soft-dome tweeter and Kevlar mid/bass drive unit, results in a full-bodied sound reproduction that belies the products small stature.

Thanks to its unique design and construction, the Smallpod Active Bluetooth weighs just 1.8 kg each and measures 157/256/160mm (width/height/depth) and is available in Black, Red or White gloss finishes.
