About Us

National Museums Liverpool comprises eight venues. Our collections are among the most important and varied in Europe and contain everything from Impressionist paintings and rare beetles to a lifejacket from the Titanic. We attract more than three million visitors every year. Our venues are the Museum of Liverpool, World Museum, the Walker Art Gallery, Merseyside Maritime Museum, International Slavery Museum, UK Border Agency National Museum, Sudley House and the Lady Lever Art Gallery.

Galkoff’s and the Secret Life of Pembroke Place project wins Heritage Lottery Fund supportDownloadable image links below Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) and National Museums Liverpool have received initial support from the Heritage Lottery Fund to support a collaborative project looking at two important heritage sites on LSTM’s campus. Galkoff’s and the Secret Life of Pembroke Place is a project that will, over the coming months, investigate the history of Court Housing and the former Galkoff’s butchers shop, situated opposite LSTM’s original 1914 building.
