Ranger Rick and Ranger Rick Jr Magazines Awarded Prestigious Accolades at the Association of Education Publishers Revere Awards

RESTON, Va. (June 12, 2014) – The Association of Education Publishers (AEP) awarded National Wildlife Federation’s Ranger Rick and Ranger Rick Jr. publications with several awards at the annual Revere Awards on June 4, 2014 in Washington, D.C.

Since 1895, the Association of Education Publishers has encouraged and advocated for professional, quality content for teaching and learning.  Each year, they scour the nation for the most outstanding educational publications, websites, and materials (paper, online, and curricula) of the year.  

At the Revere Awards Banquet, National Wildlife Federation accepted the following awards:

  1. Ranger Rick received the award for the Best Educational Periodical in America in the Grades 3-6 category.
  2. Ranger Rick Junior received the award for the Best Educational Periodical in America in the Grades Pre-K—2 category.

In addition, the magazines were recognized for their specific excellence in the following categories:

  1. Ranger Rick Jr: Article Design, "Harvest Mice”

4.   Ranger Rick: Illustration, Graphics & Photography, "Fox for All Seasons”

5.   Ranger Rick Jr: Whole Publication Design, "Look Out for Harvest Mice”

6.   Ranger Rick Jr: Departments, Columns & Sections, "That's Wild"
