Navamedic launches mosquito repellent brand in Denmark
Oslo, 29 March 2016 - Navamedic ASA (OSE: NAVA), the Norwegian medtech and pharmaceutical products company, today announced that the company is expanding its portfolio of over-the-counter (OTC) products in Denmark with the launch of its own mosquito repellent brand, Mygfri®, at Danish pharmacies all across the country. The newly introduced product is the first and only in its class in Denmark.
Mygfri® is launching in late March in all pharmacy chains across Denmark with campaigns leading into the summer months and high season for mosquitos. Mygfri® will be the only product in the Danish market containing the substance DEET, the most effective and best-studied mosquito repellent currently available. Navamedic's mosquito repellent is an established market leader in Sweden and Norway under different trade names.
The trademark Mygfri® is a Navamedic-owned brand manufactured by Belgian Jaico R.D.P, one of the world's leading manufacturers of repellents for mosquito and other insects. Founded in 1987, Jaico has worked closely with the Tropical Medicine Antwerp (ITMA) and the Swiss Tropical and Public Institute (SwissTPH) to research and develop safe and effective insect repellents.
