Navinci and Vector Labs Highly Commended at CiteAb Awards 2026
Uppsala, Sweden – March 17, 2026 – Navinci today announced that its collaborative work with Vector Laboratories has been highly commended for the Innovation Award at the CiteAb Awards 2026. This commendation recognizes the impact of the Glysite™ Explorer kit as the first commercially available product to study protein glycosylation, providing a simple approach to understand glycan-protein proximity with a spatial context.
The CiteAb Awards celebrate the most significant achievements in life science research tools, and this recognition highlights the strength of the partnership between Navinci and Vector Labs in delivering cutting-edge solutions for the scientific community.
The Glysite Explorer in situ PLA Glycan Detection Kit is a fully integrated tool for the spatial detection of glycans proximal to a protein of interest in FFPE tissues, FFPE cell pellets and fixed cells. Integrating a curated panel of Vector’s Glysite Explorer lectins with Navinci’s proprietary in situ Proximity Ligation Assay (isPLA), this system enables researchers to investigate a new dimension of biology.
The Glysite Explorer has already been adopted by leading research institutions worldwide, supporting studies in oncology, immunology, and beyond. Researchers from the Barthel and Schatton laboratories at Harvard Medical School noted: “Without this product, we would not have been able to easily characterize diverse glycan structures on the cellular target protein of interest or compare glycan motifs across distinct cell types of the tumor microenvironment.”
