Navinci to host DDLS Industrial Postdoctoral Fellow - Di Peng
Uppsala, Sweden – June 23, 2026 — Navinci is pleased to announce that Dr. Di Peng has been awarded a DDLS Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026, with Navinci as the industrial host. The highly competitive DDLS program attracts outstanding candidates worldwide, and this award highlights both the scientific excellence of the project and the growing importance of Navinci’s technology in spatial biology, data-driven life science and drug discovery. The project focuses on advancing data-driven approaches to better understand drug resistance in cancer.
At the core of the work is Navinci’s in situ proximity ligation assay (isPLA) technology, including the recently launched Omni kit, enabling highly in situ multiplexed detection of protein interactions and signalling events directly in their spatial context. This provides a unique foundation for capturing functional signalling dynamics in cells and tissues.
The project will be carried out in close collaboration with Dr. Charlotte Stadler (SciLifeLab/KTH), who will serve as the academic supervisor. As Head of the Spatial Proteomics unit at SciLifeLab, Stadler leads a nationally recognized platform for advanced multiplex protein imaging and has long-standing experience translating cutting-edge proteomics technologies into impactful biological and clinical applications. Her contributions to large-scale mapping of protein organization and function have helped shape the field of spatial and imaging-based proteomics.
By combining Navinci’s spatial interactomics technology with state-of-the-art multiplex protein imaging from Stadler’s lab and cell painting–based phenotypic profiling, the collaboration aims to establish a data-driven framework linking protein signalling, cellular morphology, and therapy response.
Together, this close integration of technologies and expertise highlights the strength of industry–academia collaboration and aims to deliver new insights into drug resistance and future biomarker discovery.
