Nefab develops co-operation with Ericsson Nefab has signed a frame agreement with Ericsson Segment Operators regarding extended co-operation. The agreement consists of two parts, working with packaging technology and fulfilling the role as First Tier Supplier of packaging materials. Nefab's consultants will function as packaging specialists in development project. The work with packaging technology also includes design, documentation and tests. The role as First Tier Supplier means deliveries of complete packaging solutions. In Sweden Nefab thereafter takes over the contact with about 15 established suppliers of such items as shock-absorbing material, corrosion protection and corrugated-board packaging. The intention is that corresponding actions will take place on other markets. The agreement includes Europe, China and Brazil. For Nefab, the agreement means, an increase in annual sales as from 2001 of about SEK100 M on the Swedish market. Additional volumes on other markets will be added. "The agreement is a very important step for Nefab's development. The competence we have built during a long period of time, will now be applied commercially through sales of services and in the form of an extended range of products. Nefab's international organization, and consequently, its possibility to provide local service on many markets was a highly important factor in the choice of us as First Tier Supplier," says Lars- Åke Rydh, CEO Nefab AB. Ericsson is Nefab's largest customer. Today, Nefab delivers in 13 countries. Sales in 1999 corresponded to about 25% of the Group's total sales of SEK 837 M.
