Nefab realigns European production

Nefab realigns European production Customers in the telecom industry account for slightly below 50% of Nefab's sales. The volume of production of telecom equipment has declined during the year and at the same time it has been redistributed to low-cost countries. Accordingly, when Nefab's new plant in Estonia becomes operational at year-end, there will be a surplus of capacity in the European production plants. It has been decided to concentrate production to the most cost-efficient plants. Consequently, production in England will be discontinued. However, marketing in the UK and in the Irish Republic will continue on the same scale. Nefab will increase cooperation with logistics partners to retain a high level of delivery service. These partners will be responsible for local distribution to customers. The restructuring is projected to be completed prior to year-end. The decision will result in a charge against earnings after net financial items for Nefab in the third quarter of about SEK 6 M.
